Commissions - The example illustrated
was designed using Denim, which is an intrinsically blue fabric.
Denim has a commonality and is a familiar fabric to every
one, so creates the feeling of inclusion and is easy to identify
with.
The
piece consists of three panels that suggest movement of the
sun through out the day, each piece reflecting a different
time.
The
work was backlit to enhance this message and to highlight
the liner qualities. The piece explores manipulation of the
surface, including stretch and shrinkage.
